Marilyn Monroe (née Norma Jeane Mortenson), one of the most iconic model/actress of all time, continues to bring her Hollywood glamour to our lives over a half-century after her death. This original blonde bombshell was just announced as the new face of the makeup brand Max Factor, proving her career has lasted well past her death in 1962 at the age of 36.

Images of both Norma Jeane and Marilyn will appear in the 2015 campaign, the UK’s Telegraph reports. It’s only fitting that the starlet would represent a brand that assisted in her claim to fame as a customer of Max Factor in the 1940s. Monroe’s vibrant red lip and sultry lined eyes have symbolized old Hollywood glamour for decades.

In the past, this curvaceous, platinum blonde celebrity has notoriously been the face of Chanel No. 5, and even appeared in the Dior J’Adore Perfume commercial in 2011. In 2013, Forbes listed her as the 6th top earning dead celebrity, pulling in an estimated $15 million.

The tragedy of Marilyn Monroe’s overdose at such a young age has done everything but stunt her career.  As one of the most well known celebrities of all time, it’s doubtful this will be her last beauty campaign.

Multiple stars have tried to recreate her best beauty look, and most recently, supermodel Candice Swanepoel worked with Max Factor to transform her into the timeless beauty. She Instagrammed a behind the scenes snapshot of herself at a shoot for the brand and it was absolutely breathtaking to say the least.
