During pregnancy, a woman’s naturally S-shaped spine becomes more deeply curved to balance the changing weight.  The pelvis tips backwards, the lower back arches , and the curve of the upper back becomes exaggerated to offset the growing uterus.  These changes, however, can add stress to the woman’s spine.  Watch this video for more details on pregnant women’s shifting posture!
