Slimming this section of your body can be tricky, but here are simple 30-second exercises that can help you control and shrink your love handles.
The Spiderman Plank Crunch
Start by getting into a regular plank position and place your forearms on the ground with your body remaining as straight as possible. Bring your right knee forwards towards your right elbow and then return to your original plank position. Repeat this step on the other side by bringing your left knee towards your left elbow. Continue to alternate sides. For increased intensity, add in a push up in between each rep. Repeat this movement for 20 reps.
Sit on the floor with your knees bent out in front of you, and keep your feet flat on the ground. Lean back and ensure that your torso is at a 45-degree angle to the floor. Using a weight or dumbbell, hold it with both hands out in front of you. Lift your feet off the ground and cross your ankles, so you’re balancing on your butt. From the position you are in, twist your torso to one side, and touch your weight to the ground next to your body. Then, repeat on the other side. Continue this movement for 20 reps.
Using one hand weight, stand with your feet hip-width apart, keeping your weight on your left leg. Begin by holding the weight above your left shoulder using both hands. Twist to make a chopping motion down towards your right hip. Ensure that your knees and feet both pivot as you twist. Next, raise your weight back up to the left shoulder and repeat this for 20 reps. Once you’ve completed it on one side, alternative and repeat on your right side.
