How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days… I mean, how to GET a guy in 10 days.
We all know and love the iconic movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, which stars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, as they compete on who can lose and get one another in the span of 10 days.
The movie showed us all what not to do to get a guy in 10 days, but there are some ways to do the opposite. It might take a few days longer to complete the task, but here are some tips to pull a Matthew McConaughey and get someone to fall for you in 10 days:
1. Initiate conversation
If you’ve had your eyes on someone, now is the time!!! Let go of your fears, go up to them, and initiate a conversation! You’ll never know what happens unless you try, and there’s no better time than the present to talk to the person you like.
2. Reach out to them
Sometimes we don’t want to be the one always to initiate the conversation and reach out, but sometimes we have to be. Show a person you’re interested in them, and if they feel the same, they’ll reciprocate the same energy back! Reach out to them and ask them how they’re doing and if they would like to hang out.
3. Don’t try too hard
Although it’s good to show your interest and reach out, you need to hold yourself back at first. That means- hold back on the constant texting and calling until you know for sure this person is into you, and you’ve established a relationship. You don’t want to scare them away before you even get started!
4. Go on a date
Hopefully, by this time, the person will catch on and realize you’re into them. And hopefully, that means they’ll be asking you out on a date soon. If that doesn’t happen- don’t lose hope! People can be oblivious, and it shouldn’t be taken personally. Be casual and ask them out on a date yourself!
5. Get to know them
That means when you do go on a date, don’t spend the entire time talking about yourself or going on your phone. Put your phone away and ask them questions. Show you’re interested in what they have to say and try to get to know them as best as possible so you can figure out if this person is right for you.
6. The kiss
Sometimes, a good kiss is what we all need to seal the deal. It might not happen on the first date, but a kiss can be a good indicator of if someone is right for you. If things are going well, a kiss will happen naturally- so don’t stress this part too much.
At the end of the ten days, you might find yourself wondering: so, what’s going on between us? If you feel like sparks have really started flying and this thing might be for real, casually and calmly communicate those feelings to them. Communication is critical in every relationship.
Hopefully, these seven tips will help you land your dream guy, just like Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey.
