The latest in American gluttony: A soda cup that holds 64 ounces. That is half a gallon of soda—filled with regular soda, it comes in at 800 calories and 216 grams of sugar! That’s the equivalent of about 60 sugar packets, or the carbs in seven slices of coffee cake.

Sugar has a whole host of downsides: it takes a toll on our skin and weight, and can increase our risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. So our advice? Avoid that gigantic soda cup!
