Just imagine, you don’t have to go into the office today—or ever! A Midwestern study found that workers who telecommuted to work (i.e., work from home) have higher overall job satisfaction than those who schlep to the office, especially because they had less work-life conflict.

If that’s not an option for you, write down three positive work events at the end of each day. In one study, employees who did this for six weeks were happier, more motivated and more productive than their counterparts who didn’t. At least that’s a quick fix!
