Halsey is the cover of Cosmopolitan’s October issue, and in true Halsey fashion, she’s making a statement. In the article, she discusses her life being a multidimensional pop star.

Halsey has never been one the hide her opinions, in matters of politics and music alike. She discusses any criticism she’s experienced from fans who want her to choose between making statements about music or politics- never both, to which she wholeheartedly disagrees with.

“Like, how f*cking immune are you to the human experience?” she said regarding the debate. “Sometimes I want to have really good sex and sometimes I want to save the world, and sometimes I might try to do both in the same day!”

Halsey also touches on how music helped her bipolar disorder. She says. “Music is this thing that I get to focus all my chaotic energy into, and it’s not a void that doesn’t love me back.”

Halsey uses her advantage in society to speak up about political issues, including her stance on restrictive abortion bills.”That’s the problem: I’ll do what I want, knockdown everyone in my path who says I shouldn’t, and then when people don’t like it, I’m like, ‘Why?!’

You heard it here first- stay out of Halsey’s way, because she’s not afraid to share her opinion and shut you down, just like that.
