Not all women are particularly fond of super-tight pants and stiletto heels, but on the rare occasion you want to strut around pretending you’re Kim Kardashian on her morning coffee run, it can feel good to sex yourself up a bit. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it turns out that everyone’s staple sexy outfit might actually be bad for you.

The most recent example was when a 35-year-old Australian woman developed a condition called compartment syndrome, in which bleeding and swelling began happening inside her muscles after wearing a pair of ultra-tight jeans, BBC News reported. The woman complained of numbness and swelling in her legs before she was hospitalized, and the jeans had to ultimately be cut off of her. Damn.

Women aren’t the only ones who should be weary of wearing tight pants! Guys — or shall I say, hipsters — should know skinny jeans have been known to lead to twisted testicles. Allow me to repeat that: twisted testicles.
