We haven’t been able to leave our houses for the past few months, which means we haven’t been able to embrace all the spring fashion trends. But with summer coming in hot and social distancing regulations starting to get a little more lenient, we might have more opportunities to dress up… even if it’s just for a walk to take pictures. Fashion is a good distraction, so if you’re looking to stay in touch with the hottest trends for when we can actually go out with our friends, these are the eight hottest trends for this summer:

Bermuda shorts
Bermuda shorts made an appearance last summer but weren’t super popular. But they’re coming in hot, and it looks like they’re here to stay. The good thing about Bermuda shorts is that they’re not super short so you can wear them wherever.

Side cutouts
Side cutouts, especially in dresses, are going to be one of the biggest fashion trends this summer. It adds a little something extra to a plain dress and makes any outfit look more stylish.

Knit Polos
Knit polos give off total school uniform vibes… but, more stylish, obviously. You can wear them with biker shorts, sweatpants, jeans- they pretty much go with everything.

Split prints
You know, like when you see someone wearing a dress and one side is yellow and the other side is purple. Split prints are super popular this summer, with everything from split prints on jeans to swimsuits.

Yellow
Yellow screams summer vibes. Not to mention, it’s just a happy color in general. With everything that is going on in the world, I see no reason you can’t add some yellow to your wardrobe.

Chunky shoes with dresses
You might think that chunky boots wouldn’t go with a girly dress, but the contrasting styles look super cute together. It just gives off the total ’90s vibes.

Denim jumpsuits
Jumpsuits are the perfect outfit to throw on when you want to look cute but don’t want to put all the effort. Plus, denim jumpsuits are stylish with a ’70s flair.

Halter tops
We all know that styles come and go, and halter tops were a staple back in the early 2000s. Well, they’re making their way back to the fashion world and are here to stay. Halter tops are easy to throw on with a pair of jeans and immediately make you look chic.
