A sultry smokey eye is a fabulous go-to. We love the smokey eye as a signature look for the fall and winter, but colors tend to brighten up when spring and summer roll around. If your current palette is too dark but you still want a little color and would rather not buy a ton of new products, try lightening up your existing eyeshadows with a bit of arrowroot powder. Scoop a small amount of your eyeshadow into a jar and mix arrowroot powder into it until it reaches your desired lighter shade. This also works great with powder blush.
