Update: Not everyone was as gung-ho about Beyoncé’s news as we were. The notoriously touchy Beyhive was annoyed upon discovery that “Good Morning America”‘s teased “announcement” from Beyoncé was simply that their leader follows a vegan diet. As Business Insider points out, it’s well-documented that B loves her greens and follows veganism – and thus wasn’t the kind of big announcement that fans would have liked. Better luck next time, Beyhive.



Original post, 6/8/15 at 2pm: Any fans of Beyoncé’s last album know that the Queen loves a big reveal. Bey appeared on “Good Morning America” this morning and discussed her recent weight loss, which she credited to a plant-based diet. The only thing Beyoncé didn’t share was just how many pounds she shed by going vegan. Sorry, trollers and hungry reporters!

She was keen to open up about the The 22-Day Revolution, a vegan meal plan and book by exercise physiologist Mario Borges, “This is something I have to share with everyone,” she said. — and so she did You can watch Bey’s “GMA” segment here:



As E! Online explained, Borges took the book’s philosophy from the psychology school of thought that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit — ergo, after 22 days on a plant-based diet, you’ve changed your lifestyle.
